We headed over to Glenmulliach this evening … not to the viewpoint, but to wander along the nature trail. It’s a lovely walk (1.75 miles) climbing steadily into the woods, with views of the mountains beyond. At the halfway mark, we found a lovely log cabin hide … just right for a quick rest and a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our boys thought it was great and have already made plans to go back … :)

Good morning all, hope you’re having a lovely weekend so far …
The weather today is glorious and we’re definitely enjoying the sunshine … time for a picnic I think. But before I get started on that, here’s a quick shop update, with our latest handmade goodie. This cute little bee hive has been lovingly handmade, using a mixture of needle felt and polymer clay. It would make the perfect gift for bee keepers and bee lovers alike. Hive measures approx: 3cm H, 2.75cm W, 2.75cm D. Bees measure approx: 0.5cm to 1cm. Total height of this piece is approx: 10.5 cm. I’ve popped it on our website and Folksy shop, if you’d like to take a peek. :) I have some weeding to do this afternoon and some paperwork for our holiday let cottage to complete. But we started our day, with the gorgeous circular walk around Tomintoul (highest village in the Scottish Highlands) ...
The walk is about 2.75 miles, and meanders through open fields and woodlands, climbing gently to the beautiful Victor Gaffney viewpoint. From there you can see the peaks of Ben Avon in the distance and the River Avon twisting below. With the sun shining, it really was the perfect way to start the day ... :) For more information on our holiday cottage, activities and booking availability, please follow the link in our bio ... |
