It really has felt as though winter would never end, but spring has finally arrived, as she always does and we’re able to get out in the garden again. First to make an appearance was our gorgeous rhubarb, it’s doing really well and I can’t wait to make the first crumble of the year and maybe some jam …
Anyway, we’re off to weed and prepare our outside beds today, thankfully not too many weeds this year which is always a blessing. I’ve also got some beetroot and peas to pop in the Polycrub. We’ve tried planting the beets outside, but they seem to thrive undercover and we get enormous, tasty veggies grown this way.
All in all I’m just so excited and happy to have my hands in the dirt again and to be outside in the garden … definitely my happy place.
We have lots of garden projects planned this year, but more on that later … 👋 🌱 🪴
