This is my favourite go to cake, it’s always popular and it’s the one I get the most requests for … my family love it.
It’s just a simple vanilla sponge (a take on Victoria Sandwich), filled with whipped double cream, your favourite jam and freshly sliced strawberries/ raspberries. I spread the jam when the sponge is still warm, as I love the way it spills over the sides. When cool add the filling, sandwich the sponges and then dust with icing sugar. It really is an easy cake to make, but looks and tastes completely heavenly … so good … 😋🥰 #cake
