Our Homestead No Bake Flapjacks

Our Homestead No Bake Flapjacks

No bake flapjacks have been our go to this year, especially with our range switched off.
I’ve been playing around with ingredients, and have finally come up with a really cheap and simple recipe …

No Bake Flapjacks:

- 4 cups of porridge oats.
- 1 cup of runny honey.
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence.
- 1 cup of butter.
- 1/2 cup of dried chopped cranberries or dates.
- 1/4 cup of poppy seeds or sesame seeds. Which ever you prefer.

Melt the butter, honey and vanilla essence in a pan. Add the oats and cranberries, and heat for a further 2 mins on the stove, mixing well. Remove from the heat and stir in the poppy seeds.
Place the mixture in a lined or silicon baking tin, and press down well with the back of a metal spoon. Pop the tin in the fridge, allowing the mixture to cool completely and set.
When set cut into squares and serve.
Cover any remaining flapjacks and store in the fridge.

These flapjacks are so yummy, they don’t last long … I hope you enjoy them too. 😃
