I really enjoy sewing these embroidery hoops and as I appear to have gotten a little carried away, thought I might work towards a wee shop update on the 28th Feb … I just need to decide on some backing fabric … 🤔 😅 Sending love to all in these troubled times … 🙏 Xxx

Storm Eunice has departed and left us a good covering of snow. It’s so calm and beautiful out there now … completely different from the scary situation we found ourselves in yesterday. Hope you’re all staying safe and sending love to all those affected by this crazy weather. Guess it’s time to start digging out … ❄️☃️      Taking inspiration from my daughter, I decided to cheer myself up with some late night sewing. And … I may have gotten a little carried away and stayed up much later than I should’ve … 🤫🪡🧵 But I absolutely hate throwing things away, so the idea of embroidering some denim garden hoops really appealed to me. I don’t know about you, but my family definitely get through a lot of jeans, so we always have plenty of material to reuse. I’m starting off with a wild flower meadow, as it just makes my heart happy … but I also want to have a go at a little veggie patch … 🥕🌽 I have so many ideas, I can’t wait to get started. So happy … 😃 I woke up bright and early this morning, eager to get back to my sewing. I’ve nearly finished, just need to trim and back the wee hoop … I have some lovely ditsy floral fabric, that’ll look so pretty on the reverse. I’m really excited to add this to our shop … hope it makes someone smile 🤞 Anyway wishing you a very Happy Valentines Day and sending love to all … I think it’s time for a coffee … ☕️😊  A wee snowy wander around Aberlour. Sadly the snow didn’t stick around and we’re back to blue skies and sunshine ☀️ It really has been a strange winter this year, so much warmer than usual. With the evenings getting a little bit lighter, it’s been so nice to get out and about again. I can’t wait for Spring to arrive …🌱 Aberlour is a beautiful town to visit and only a 20 minute drive from our holiday let cottage. It’s famous for its shortbread and whisky, but also has some lovely shops and a beautiful riverside park to explore. I’d highly recommend popping into the Spey Larder if you’re ever in the area, it’s a wonderful delicatessen with a wide variety of specialty foods … so yummy. 😋🏴 For more details about our holiday let cottage, activities, to check availability or make bookings. Please follow the link below:      My son took a few snowy photos of his walk yesterday … so pretty I had to share them. The woods look so magical at this time of year … ❄️🏔🌲    We’ve had a few storms recently, with some very strong winds, a bit scary to be honest … I was so worried about our Polycrub and greenhouse. Thankfully both have survived the extreme weather beautifully, which is such a relief … 😅 The snow returned today … we absolutely love it, but my chickens were definitely not impressed … poor girls. Even so, they’re being gracious enough to lay us lots of lovely eggs. I’d be lost without them … 🐓🥚🥚🥚🙏 Anyway, keeping our fingers crossed for a snowy Saturday, would be great to get the sleds out and have some fun … 🛷❄️☃️ Hope you all have a great weekend … 👋  |
