Well it’s official... the clocks have gone back an hour today and the darker evenings are upon us again. With knitting needles, felting wool and sewing machines at the ready, it’s time to start crafting. I’m really excited and can’t wait to get started ... 👏🙃 ** Here’s a quick peek at my daughter’s latest creation. You can find her facebook page over at ‘Henry Says.’.
It’s wet, windy and wild in Scotland today ... so I have the stove lit and a lovely pot of chicken soup bubbling on the range. Now just sitting by the fire, enjoying a nice mug of tea and knitting cosy blankets. Enjoying my Sunday afternoon ... hope you are too ... :) Think we all had the same idea today ...
Wow ... woke up this morning to a lovely sunny October day. Feeling lucky, we decided to take advantage of every second and head off to the Lecht Mine. It’s a really nice walk through the hills, made all the more beautiful by the Autumnal colours ... so relaxing and great to be outside. As always my youngest son, skipping ahead and leading the way (my fearless explorer) ... fun times. :)
Good morning ... :) ☕️
I woke up today with a hankering to bake some muffins for breakfast. Now I’m trying really hard to exhibit some self control and leave them long enough to cool ... they smell so good. This muffin recipe is foolproof and tastes fantastic, (I doubled the mixture, added some chocolate chunks and only used 2 heaped teaspoons of baking powder)... link below. Ok ... time to muster the troops and eat ...😋 Hope you all have a happy Friday, wherever you may be ... http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/21940/basic-muffins.aspx |
